The Princeton Review ranks SUNY Geneseo

Read about SUNY Geneseo on the Princeton Review's website and see what students say about SUNY Geneseo and Milne Library. You can also get information on rankings, financial aid, and statistics. A neat feature on the site is the "Review Map" where students search for schools other Geneseo applicants also considered, and group them by size, geography, selectivity, and more. Princeton Review calls it "six degrees of admissions".

Summer Reading Guide

The SUNY Geneseo Summer Reading Program book this fall is Letters From a Young Activist. Librarian Tracy Paradis has created a resource guide for those interested in learning more about the book and in preparation for the discussions, being held around campus on Sunday, August 27th.

New Faculty Orientation

Orientation to the Teaching and Learning Center and the Library for new faculty will be on Tuesday August 22 beginning at 9:00 a.m. Milne Library's goal for the day is to introduce you to the local resources that you need to begin teaching, reserves, library instruction, etc.Previous attendees have told us that this session is timely and very helpful.

There will be a break for lunch, please RSVP to Melissa Jadlos to help us keep track of how many are attending.

Launch Day

Today is the launch of the new Milne Library website. New features include:

• A QuickSearch on the homepage which allows users to directly search commonly used tools like GLOCAT and ERes
• "Check my library account" to easily access your library information
• New and improved database pages called Resources by Subject
• RSS feeds for the blog and the New Books List
• New online gallery of library photos

Keep checking back for new features. We will be making improvements throughout the coming semester and the new website design is just one of our many plans for library website development this year!
